For over thirty years Mr. Wilson has provided production services for a multitude of entertainment projects that span the music, film, and theme park industries.

Recent projects Mr. Wilson is directing include: Development of music festivals and film & television shows; Project management for TASC ride systems on the new “King Kong” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood; Key Producer at Thinkwell Design & Production for their billion-dollar theme park project in Abu Dhabi, UAE; Management of several fun projects for Lexington such as KidSpace Museum, Catalina Island Conservancy and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Other projects Wilson has provided services for include special effects design and supervision (as Special Effects Supervisor) for “The Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games”, produced by 2002 Events Inc., and considered to be among the most successful opening ceremonies in recent history.

In 1999, Fox Studios Australia in Sydney, Australia opened James Cameron’s “Titanic, The Experience”, a $30 million SFX show that Wilson provided show production and management services for. Those services included the development and implementation of all contracts, budgets, schedules and complete installation and commissioning of the project. As Associate Producer, Wilson organized and managed over 200 production personnel, suppliers and vendors from around the globe during the 1.5 year project.

Wilson, who, after completing formal training in Technical Theater Arts at Santa Monica College, started his career in the mid-1970’s. Wilson worked primarily in the music industry providing technical and management services first as a studio manager, audio engineer and eventually co-business owner of American Music. Through the 70’s & 80’s Wilson provided services to several top-name performers of the day that included “Stevie Wonder”, “ELO”, “Sonny & Cher” and “Glen Campbell”.

Continuing through the ‘80’s Wilson provided production services on several major music festival projects that included the “US Festival” 1982 and 1983 (over 250,000 persons/day!), the “LA Street Scene” 1983/84/85, and the “L.A. CountryFest” 1985 and 1986 shows. During this same time period Wilson also provided production services for many music video projects with top recording acts that included “Madonna”, “U2”, “Pat Benatar” and “Keith Richards”.

In 1990 Wilson was introduced to the theme park and world expo industries and was commissioned to provide show production services for several multi-media projects in South Korea and Japan. Projects include Associate Producer of the “Opening Ceremonies of the 1993 World Exposition” in South Korea, a $35 million-plus extravaganza that was broadcast live to a worldwide audience. Other projects in Asia include Technical Director for “HarmonyLand” theme park in Japan and “LotteWorld” theme park in South Korea.
